Wylks Ottren approached her in a corridor, cheerfully and by name, in front of two other journeymen, and asked who in the Court grinds a mirror with the silver on the wrong side — and not to tell him nobody, because he was holding one. She was pleasant about it and asked to see the piece. He told her it wasn't his to show.

By the next morning someone certified was waiting at his bench with a job offer that ends such questions. Whether Sarre passed the request upstairs herself is not known.
