Venturia's foremost religious institution, dedicated to Saint Viro — who, in the city's tellings, protected the valley long before it became Vallombrosa. The Abbey runs hospitals, orphanages, and food relief, and is genuinely respected for doing hard, unglamorous work without asking for credit.
What They Do
Spiritual guidance, charity, and education for children whose families can't afford tutors, alongside the upkeep of the protective traditions Saint Viro established. The Abbey operates hospitals — among them St. Viro's Respite — coordinates orphan care with Liminal House, and distributes food to the poor.
Leadership
Led by Mother-Abbot Lucia Virosdottir, who also holds a Temple Authority seat on the Autumn Council and currently serves as its Chair. Forty years of service have made her wise and compassionate; the present crisis has made her weary.
Membership
The faithful gain access to the Abbey's charitable network, instruction in religious texts and protective rites, spiritual counsel, and priority care at the Respite — and the Abbey's hard-won reputation for neutrality makes it a trusted mediator.
